Obituary
White River Jct., VT - Brent A. "Tis" Tisdale, 71, died Monday August 4, 2014 at his home in White River Jct., VT surrounded by his family and friend.
He was born November 30, 1942 in Lebanon, NH a son of Arthur and Phyllis (Strout) Tisdale. Brent attended West Lebanon High School before enlisting in the US Air Force in 1960 where he served as a jet mechanic until his honorable discharge in 1964. Brent operated the State of Vermont Liquor Store in White River Jct. for many years. He then took over the State Agency called Tisdale's Pop-A-Top Shop for many years before beginning work at Avis car rental where he worked until retiring.
Brent was a member of local lodges. He was a life member of B.P.O.Elks Lodge 1541 in Hartford, VT, a member of American Legion Post 22 in Lebanon, NH, Fraternal Order of Eagles in Lebanon, NH and Loyal Order of Moose in Wauchula, FL.
He enjoyed water skiing, flying, spending his winters in the warm weather of Florida. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and friends. During his final years he truly enjoyed traveling to Florida and York Beach, ME with his companion Cathy.
He is survived his three daughters, Regina Pero and her two children Ryan and Nitacia Pero and their father Michael Pero, and Regina's life partner Kyle Willey;, Lyndi Nelson and her husband Mike, their children Trentin Putnam, Maddison Putnam, Zayne Smith, Kyra Nelson and Rayna Nelson, and Hope George and her three children, Kylie George, Kelsey George ans Kayla Willard; his ex-wife Sandy Tisdale, and his companion Cathy.
Visiting hours will be held at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct., Wednesday August 6th from 2-4PM and 6-8PM. A memorial service with military honors will be held in the Chapel at the Vermont Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center, VT on Thursday August 7th at 10AM. A Celebration of his life will follow at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2571 in White River Junction.
