Beverly Bailey Walker, 89 of Fairlee, VT passed away on February 7, 2019 in Yarmouth, ME after a brief illness.
She was born in Hanover, NH on December 13, 1929, the daughter of Henry and Ida (Hall) Bailey of Lyme, NH, where she grew up and graduated from Thetford Academy, Class of 1947.
In 1950, she married Joseph Walker and they enjoyed traveling, visiting many states as well as Canada, Puerto Rico and the Bahamas. They enjoyed time spent at their cottage on Averill Lake, as well as their favorite destination for forty years, Kittery Point, ME. After his passing in 1992, Beverly traveled with her sister Barbara often, visiting Florida, California, Hawaii and Maine.
In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by her brother Russell (Bob) Bailey. She leaves a sister, Barbara J. Stowe of Lebanon, NH, a daughter Nancy Plummer and Richard of Windham, ME and a son Craig Walker and Kristi of Fairlee. She was "Mimi" to three grandchildren and a great granddaughter, and also leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Always a cheerful person, she enjoyed reading, walks with friends around Lake Morey, tending to her garden in her signature pink cap, fireworks, picnics and baking her famous yeast rolls.
The family would like to express their gratitude to her wonderful family of caregivers at Bay Square at Yarmouth for the excellent care she received during her stay.
The family will gather for a private ceremony in the spring.
