White River Jct., VT – Beverly June Thibodeau, 86, died peacefully Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the Gill Odd Fellows Nursing Facility in Ludlow, VT.
She was born August 30, 1936, in Windsor, VT the daughter of Chester and Addie (Warren) Barbour. She grew up and attended elementary school in Hartland, VT. At the early age of 15, she began working in laundry. She made it her life career for the next forty-five years and retired from Kleen Laundry. Beverly married Thomas Thibodeau. They made their home in White River Junction and raised four children. She was a tireless worker with an unbelievable work ethic. When Beverly wasn't at her full-time job or tending to her home and the children, she was out earning extra money, doing part time work in and around the Upper Valley region as a housekeeper and bartender.
Beverly enjoyed going dancing, snowmobiling, attending area fairs, trips to Maine, camping, antiquing, going to yard sales, driving through back roads of Hartland, and in her later years going out to eat. She loved Christmas. She took great pride in decorating her home for Christmas. Beverly was a member of the Red Hat Society in Hartland, VT for many years. She also enjoyed volunteering to work the Hartland Church Roast Beef Suppers. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, always up for any kind of a trip or visit.
She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas, son Thomas Jr., daughter, Marsha Farris, brother, Gordon Barbour, and two sisters, Louise Lyman and Marie Manning.
Beverly is survived by her daughter, Wendy Luce and son-in-law, Clayton of White River Jct., VT, son, Timothy Thibodeau of Hartford, VT, eight grandchildren, Shawn Thibodeau and his wife Jenn, Maegan McElwain and her husband Ethan, Ashley Farris, Zachary Thibodeau, Ryan Thibodeau, Kayla Thibodeau, Kelsey Thibodeau, Hayden Thibodeau, nine great grandchildren, Amber Bond, Jasmine Wilson, Kyra & Tucker Thibodeau, Jaden Farris, Gabby & Gunnar Rice, Connor & Mia McElwain, two sisters, Sandy Laflamme of Windsor, VT, Mary Ryan of Hartford, VT, and many nieces and nephews.
The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Gill Home and Brookwood for the wonderful loving care she received.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
