Obituary

Beverly O'Connor Lewis
Lebanon, NH – Beverly O. Lewis, 87, a longtime resident of West Lebanon, NH passed on Monday October 23, 2017 at Harvest Hill in Lebanon, NH.
She was born November 3rd, 1929 in West Lebanon, NH, a daughter of the late John P. and Clara (Wills) O'Connor. Growing up, Beverly was an accomplished tap dancer, attending many competitions throughout the region. She graduated from West Lebanon High School, Class of 1947 before beginning a lengthy career at the New England Telephone Company as an operator where she quickly rose to the level of supervisor. She married Edward (Ted) Lewis at the original Holy Redeemer Chapel in West Lebanon, and was happily married for 64 years. They made their home in West Lebanon where they lived until recently relocating to Harvest Hill.
She was dedicated to her family and enjoyed annual excursions to Wells Beach, Maine with her young grandchildren. She and Ted enjoyed traveling, especially to the island of Monserrat in the British West Indies and later enjoyed wintering in Naples, Florida where the extended family congregated for their vacations. Her favorite time was hosting Christmas Eve for her family. She had a sharp mind and even sharper sense of humor; she loved complex crosswords, show tunes and musicals, eclectic movies, and she was an avid reader of mystery novels. She was the center of her family and her passing is deeply felt.
The Lewis family wishes to thank all the staff at Harvest Hill and Bayada Hospice for the wonderful care they have received over the past several months.
Beverly was predeceased by her sisters; Barbara Sealey, Regis Bruce, Lucille Dimichele and Lorraine O'Connor. She is survived by her husband, Ted, of Lebanon, NH; children Kevin Lewis and his wife Kelly of Clayton, NY; Craig Lewis and his wife Ellen of Enfield, NH; Barbara Lague and her husband Gary of Sunapee, NH and daughter-in-law Tish Lewis of Reading, VT. She also leaves grandchildren Kaleigh, Teddy, Ali, Ryan and Erin; great grandchildren Landon and Rose, and many close nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in the West Lebanon Cemetery at a future date.
Contributions in her memory may be made to BAYADA Hospice, PO Box 1590 Norwich, VT. 05055.
