Hanover, NH- Beverly Ann Gobie, 81, died peacefully late Thursday morning, January 14, 2021 at Hanover Terrace in Hanover, NH. She was born March 13, 1939 in Lebanon, NH, the only child of Harold & Myrtle (Maynard) Wheeler. She grew up in West Lebanon, New Hampshire and graduated from West Lebanon High School.

Beverly worked out of the home as a caregiver after raising her four children. She was employed by Lincoln Street, Inc. out of Springfield, VT, where she cared for disabled adults, but most of her career was in private care. She also volunteered at the Bugbee Senior Center, where she met her loving husband, Jerry A. Gobie, Sr. to whom she was married for twenty years. Jerry died May 20, 2008. They enjoyed a wonderful life together traveling, especially to Short Sands at York Beach, Maine. They loved camping, dancing, music, spending time with family and friends, and their church family at the First Baptist Church in Lebanon. Beverly also liked to cook, and tell or hear a good joke. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh, warm smile and her care for all and she also loved her pets.

She is survived by her daughters, Debra A. and Cheryl J. Smith, and her two sons, Daniel T. Smith III, and John A. Smith. She also leaves behind several grandchildren, great grandchildren and many friends.

A graveside service will be held at a later date in the Riverside Cemetery in Woodstock, Vermont.
