Obituary

Windsor, VT – Beverly W. Flanagan, 82, a lifelong resident of Windsor, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, November 29, 2024, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. Beverly was born on October 24, 1942, in Windsor to Verne and Madelyn (Evarts) Willard. In high school she met and fell in love with Bill Flanagan and the two married on August 25, 1962, at St. Francis Catholic Church. The young couple loved to square dance together and enjoyed traveling to competitions throughout the years all over New England. The family enjoyed spending time together and summer vacations along the Maine coast.

Beverly was a hands-on mom who always put her children and grandchildren first, ensuring that they were well prepared for life and treated others with dignity and respect. As a genuinely caring person, Beverly found her calling as a nurse's aide and worked for many years at Mt. Ascutney, helping to care for those in extended care.

She found joy and relaxation in needlework and crafting, often finding inspiration from attending craft fairs. All of her family members and many friends have lovingly made gifts to cherish and remember her by.

She is survived by her husband Bill of Windsor; three children Tammy Flanagan of Windsor, Nick Flanagan and wife Mara of Nashville, TN, and Patrick Flanagan and wife Susan of Windsor; one sister Nancy Fowler of Claremont, NH; five grandchildren Colby, Carson, Skylar, Brenden, and Tatum; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother in infancy.

A private graveside service will be held later at St. Francis Cemetery in Windsor.
