Brooksville, FL – Betty Jane Jorgensen, 94, died Sunday, June 27, 2021, in West Canaan, NH surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Hartford, Vt., on Jan. 31, 1927, daughter of Elmer "Joe" and Ruth (Dickinson) Hathorn. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard E. Jorgensen.

Betty and Richard raised their children in West Lebanon, NH among their great neighbors on Seminary Hill. After her children left the nest, Betty dedicated her time to mentoring her grandchildren and taking care of ailing relatives. Betty and Richard enjoyed their many years camping, fishing, golfing, and playing card games.

She is survived by two sons; Robert Jorgensen and his wife Midge of West Canaan, and David Jorgensen and his wife Judy of Lebanon, NH; a daughter; Bonnie Jorgensen and her husband David Hubbard of Brooksville, FL; seven grandchildren; Anna Terry of Rupert, Vt., Laura Jorgensen of Lebanon, Kiley Hemphill of Dover, Brendan Jorgensen of Durham, Nikolay Hubbard of Concord, Aleksandr Hubbard of Dublin, CA, and Andrey Hubbard of Concord; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11AM in the West Lebanon Cemetery in West Lebanon, NH. DUE TO CONCERNS OF COVID-19 THERE WILL BE NO RECEPTION TO FOLLOW.
