Obituary

Wilder, VT – Beth Potter, 66, died Thursday November 17th at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH surrounded by her loving family.

Beth was born May 13, 1945 in Hackensack, NJ, a daughter of Frank and Charlotte (Kline) Travolta. She grew up in Hillsdale, NJ where she graduated from Pascack Valley High School. She then attended Green Mountain College in Poultney, VT. While there she met the love of her life, Bob Potter. They dated while she finished her Bachelor's degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ. They were married June 8, 1968 in Hillsdale, NJ. They moved to Hartford, VT where Beth began her teaching career at the Hartford Memorial Middle School. When the Potters began their family, she stayed at home with their children until they started school. When the children were in school, Beth worked part time at H&R Block and later worked full time with New England Research in Wilder. Beth was a dedicated employee at NER, working her way to the position of treasurer and has continued to work as often as possible throughout her illness.

Beth enjoyed cooking, flower and vegetable gardening and especially enjoyed keeping her yard in beautiful condition. She also enjoyed antiquing and previously operated shops with her husband, first from their home in West Hartford and after moving to Wilder had a shop at Timber Village in Quechee.

She leaves her husband, Robert, of Wilder; two sons Steven M. Potter of Beloit, WI and Andrew J. Potter and his wife Janet and children Benjamin and Joseph all of White River Jct.; a sister Susan Teeple of Amherst, NH as well as nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct. Wednesday November 23rd from 9-11AM. A memorial service will follow at the funeral home at 11.
