E. Bernice Shaw

Sharon, VT – E. Bernice Shaw, 89, died Friday February 25th at home surrounded by her family.

She was born June 1, 1921 a daughter of Dewey and Beulah Myrtle (Fulton) Baldwin in Carthage, SD. She was married to Francis C. Shaw March 19, 1944 in Rego Park, NY. While living in New York Bernice worked in management at Macy's for many years. She moved to Sharon in 1974 and was employed by the Admissions Office at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH from 1974 until retiring in 1986, she continued to work per diem until 1996.

Mrs. Shaw was a member of St. Anthony's Church in White River Jct. She was a very talented woman who created many beautifully detailed crafts for loved ones and the church bazaar. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, traveling, family trips to Sunset Beach, NC and most of all time with her family and friends.

She is predeceased by her husband, Francis; a brother Maynard Baldwin, three sisters Josie Carter, Harriett Garmon, Edwina Baldwin, Granddaughter Meghan Kennedy & Great Grandson Gavin Shaw.

She leaves her five children Richard (Mary Anne) Shaw of Canton, OH; Patti Shaw of Sharon, VT, Beecie Shaw of Sharon, VT James (Patti) Shaw of Randolph, VT and Agnes (David) Guay of Enfield, NH. She also leaves 5 grandchildren Padraic Shaw, Chris ( Michele) Shaw, Bill ( Amy ) Shaw, Adrienne ( Stan ) Stark, Lauren Guay & 5 Great Grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct., VT Monday from 2-4PM and 6-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 11AM at St. Anthony's Church in White River Jct. Burial will be in the Pine Knoll Cemetery in Sharon in the Spring.
