Fairlee, VT- Bernhard E. Poschmann, 57, died unexpectedly at his home in Fairlee, VT on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.

Bernie was born March 30, 1966, in Queens, NY, a son of Bernhard and Maria (Roken) Poschmann. He grew up in White River Junction, VT and graduated from Hartford High School, and then went on to earn a degree from Johnson State College. Bernie worked at the Maple Leaf Motel and Campground in White River Junction with his parents until they sold the business in 2002. He spent the following years caring for his aging father until his death in 2018.

He enjoyed watching sports games, especially soccer, and spending time with his family preparing various dishes to celebrate their heritage.

Bernie is preceded in death by his mother, Maria, and father, Bernhard. He is survived by several cousins, including Hildegard Kannler of Hartland, VT, as well as several in Germany.

A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, September 30, 2023, in the Fairlee Village Cemetery. A time of fellowship and remembrance will follow at the Fairlee Community Church.
