Obituary

Beatrice E. (Creighton) Bailey passed away of natural causes on Wednesday November 30 at her home in Claremont, NH.

She was born April 19, 1941, in Lebanon, NH, the daughter of Clarence S and Arlene (Knowles) Creighton. She attended school in Lebanon, NH until marrying Arthur W. Bailey on January 18, 1958 in the Park St. Church in Boston, MA. They lived their married life in the Cornish area. She worked as a seamstress, creating many wedding dresses at Mimi's bridal shop in Lebanon, NH. She was best known as Bea and was an active member of the Trinity Evangelical Free Church of Windsor, VT where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years.

Bea enjoyed singing in church, sewing, doll making, and especially spending time with her family.

She was the oldest of twelve children. She was predeceased by both her parents and by three siblings-Jonathan (who died in infancy), George and Bruce Creighton. She is survived by eight siblings-David Creighton of Birmingham, Alabama, Jeffery Creighton of Windsor, VT, Brenda Emerson of White River Jct, VT, Wayne Creighton of Jacksonville, FL, Jimmy Creighton of Claremont, NH, Albert Creighton of Potsdam, NY, Laurel Roberts of Croydon, NH and Harley Creighton of Windsor, VT. She is also survived by six children-Melony Burch of Cornish, NH, Dawn Couture of Hartland, VT, Kelley Nishikawa of Wilmot, NH, Tracey Palmer of Sutton, NH, John Bailey of Newport, NH and Robin Maynard of Newport, NH. She also leaves behind twenty-one grandchildren and step grandchildren Michelle Walker, Karen Brown, Kelley Burch, David Burch, Daniel Burch, Craig Couture, Cameron Couture, Amber Nishikawa, Lauren Nishikawa, Ryan Palmer, C Christopher Palmer, Devon Palmer, Caitlyn Palmer, Brandon Moore, Jared Bailey, Garrett Moore, Jonathan Bailey, Elizabeth Bailey, Evan Maynard, Benjamin Maynard and Wesley Maynard as well as ten great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. Niece Christie Raymond, daughter of Laurel lived at the Bailey home for several years and was cared for by Bea. Laurel's other two children Katie Roberts and Richard Whitcomb and Brenda's daughter, Wendy Mo also spent many summers there. She has many other nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Windsor, VT. The Knight Funeral Home in Windsor, VT assisted with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Windsor, VT for the Food Pantry that serves the local community. A private graveside memorial service will be held at a later date
