Barbara Lavell
Windsor, VT – Barbara Lavell, 92, died Friday November 8th at the Mt. Ascutney Hospital & Health Center in Windsor.
She was born January 21, 1921 in Chester, VT a daughter of Ralph and Ellen Britton. Barbara graduated from Windsor High School and was later married to George Lavell on September 27, 1941 in Windsor. She worked in the office at Cone Automatic Machine in Windsor for over twenty five years before retiring.
Barbara was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Windsor. She enjoyed golfing and was a member of the John P. Larkin Country Club, in her younger years she also enjoyed skiing.
She was predeceased by her husband, George, in 1996 and is survived by two sons, Mitchell Lavell of Windsor, VT and Thomas Lavell and his wife Carol of Loxahatchee, FL.
Visiting hours will be held from 10-11AM on Wednesday November 20th at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor followed by a funeral service at 11AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the St. Francis Cemetery also in Windsor.
Contributions in her memory may be made to the Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center, 289 County Road, Windsor, VT 05089.
