Obituary

Windsor, VT – Barbara R. Adams, 92, died on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the Gill Odd Fellows Home in Ludlow, VT.

Barb was born on September 17, 1932, in Westminster, VT, a daughter of Clifford and Mary (Wright) Silver. She grew up in the Upper Valley and attended Stevens High School. Barb met Raymond W. Adams during her daily travels through town. After a short courtship, they married in 1951 and made their home in Windsor. As a farmer's wife, Barb took on many responsibilities, but being a homemaker and mother always came first.

Following Ray's death in 1995, Barb began spending her winters in Okeechobee, FL, where she enjoyed the warmer weather for the next ten years.

Barb loved to "run the roads" and proudly maintained her driver's license until the age of ninety-one. She enjoyed visiting local yard sales, grabbing a cup of coffee or dessert, and chatting with the staff and patrons at Frazer's Place. Known for her great sense of humor, Barb will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her son, Dennis Adams; her brother, William Britt; and her sister, Mildred Bourgoine-Richards.

She is survived by her daughters, Debra Spaulding (Dave) of Windsor and Pamela Routher (Dave) of Box Elder, SD; her son, James Adams; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of Barb's life will be announced at a later date. Knight Funeral Home in Windsor has been entrusted with arrangements. Condolences may be shared in an online guestbook at www.knightfuneralhomes.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
