Lyme, NH- B. Virginia "Ginny" Maxfield, 84, of Lyme, NH died at her home on Friday, February 3.

Ginny was born October 30, 1927, in Windsor VT, the daughter of Sheldon and Pearl Miller. She grew up in Hartland, VT and graduated from Windsor High School. Ginny married Lesle E Maxfield on December 31, 1960. She was a devoted mother, business partner and homemaker. Ginny loved gardening, especially flowers, and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed volunteering for numerous projects at the Lyme Congregational Church.

She is predeceased by her husband Lesle E. Maxfield, a step son, Richard Maxfield, a grandson, and two brothers, Darwin and Dorrence Miller.

Ginny is survived by five daughters June (Shepard) McKenzie of San Bernadino, CA, Ann (Shepard) Creaser of Barton, VT, Caroline Shepard of N. Pomfret, VT, Lee (Shepard) Wetherby of Charlestown, NH and Hope (Shepard) Shaver of Fort Wayne, IN, one son, Harry K. Shepard, Jr. of Springfield, VT, four step-daughters, Elizabeth (Maxfield) Frary of Tunbridge, VT, Marjory (Maxfield) Conley of Tavares, FL, Bernice "Bunny" (Maxfield) Aldrich of Waxhaw, NC, and Lorna (Maxfield) Eaton of Lunenburg, VT, two step-sons Louis Maxfield of North Hartland, VT, and Robert Maxfield of Quechee, VT, 31 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren, 27 great great grandchildren, and two brothers, Allen Miller of Edmond, OK and Vernon Miller of VT.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. The Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct., VT, has been entrusted with arrangements.
