White River Jct., VT- Arthur Whitman, 73, of White River Junction, VT, died peacefully at his home on October 30, 2025.

Born on February 4, 1952, in Greenfield, MA, he was the son of Howard Alphonso and Elizabeth Maude (Call) Whitman. Arthur grew up in Greenfield and graduated from Greenfield High School before attending the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he earned a degree in accounting.

Arthur worked for many years as an accountant, most recently with Dale's Mobile Home Park. Outside of the office, Arthur found joy in spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, cheering for his favorite sports teams, and enjoying the occasional trip to the casino with friends.

He is survived by his son, Nathaniel Whitman of Brookline, VT; his sister, Sandra Woods of Greenfield, MA; his niece, Tricia Bennett of Shelburne Falls, MA; several other nieces and nephews; and his special friend, Kathy Slayton. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Richard Ryan.
