Obituary

Anne T. Weber, 73, of Woodstock and Windsor, died peacefully on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, after bravely battling Alzheimer's disease for a number of years.  Anne was born on February 28, 1951, in South Weymouth, MA, daughter of Arthur and Ruth (Gould) Thacher. She attended the Walnut Hill School for Art in Natick, MA and graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. Anne enjoyed spending time in nature, especially hiking and snowshoeing with her beloved dogs, Otis, Nala and Bella.  Anne loved vacationing with family on Goose Rocks Beach in Kennebunkport and boating on Lake Willoughby.  Not only was Anne an amazing wife and mother, but a dedicated educator who was respected by her students and colleagues alike throughout the Upper Valley area.  Anne taught in the Hartford School District for many years, first at the middle school and later at the high school, where she was a special educator and a 504 coordinator. Anne had a special way of connecting with her students and was respected by her students and colleagues alike. In addition to teaching, she connected with the students coaching field hockey.  Anne was sadly taken from her loved ones too soon; however, her spirit lives on in those that were close to her.

Anne was predeceased by her husband, Jon M. Weber.  She is survived by her daughter, Danielle; granddaughter, Sylvia Rose; brother, Arthur Thacher, sisters-in-law Judith Thacher and Nancy Bravin, brother-in-law, Robert Weber, ; and her significant partner, Brian Charest, as well as several nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.

Anne's family would like to thank the many caregivers that made it possible for her to remain at home.

A memorial service will be held Monday September 9, at 3PM at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction, VT.

A celebration of life will be held in Goose Rocks Beach, Kennebunkport, ME on Saturday, October 26, 2024, followed by an oceanside scattering of her ashes. Condolences to Anne's family may be expressed in an online guestbook at www.knightfuneralhomes.com.
