Hartland, VT – Anna B. Lamb, 88, died peacefully with her family by her side, at her home in Hartland, late Saturday night January 23, 2021.
She was born March 14, 1932 in Bellows Falls, VT a daughter of Pasquale and Brona (Gryszko) Baldasaro. Anna grew up in Bellow Falls, VT and later moved to White River Jct., where she graduated as valedictorian from Hartford High School class of 1949. She was married to David C. Lamb at St. Anthony's Church in White River Jct. October 12, 1957 and they made their home in Hartland where she has lived since. Anna worked part time as a bookkeeper for Sanborn Oil and Dales Homes while her children were growing up and when they got old enough she returned to school, earning her Bachelors Degree in Education from Johnson State College in 1988 at the age of 56. She then taught at the Hartland Elementary School until retiring.
Mrs. Lamb was active at St. Anthony's Church in White River Jct. where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was active in her community including serving on the Hartland PTA, the Hartland School Board, as a Justice of the Peace, and on the Hartland School Lunch Program for many years. Anna also enjoyed her time with her friends while attending the Red Hatters Club and the Darn-it Club in Hartland. Most of all Anna loved spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, David, in 2007 and a daughter-in-law Vicki Lamb in 2004 and is survived by her children David C. Lamb Jr. and his wife Kathy of White River Jct., Catherine Lamb and her husband Terry Bouricius of Burlington, VT, Carleton H. Lamb and his wife Fran of Hartland and Thomas Lamb and his wife Kim of Plymouth, NH; grandchildren, Christian, Molly, Michael, Milo, Lydia, Adam, Danny, Andrew, Tyler, Hannah, Jared and Jacob; a sister Mary Foster of Leominster, MA; brothers Pasquale A. Baldasaro of Dalton, MA and Joseph J. Baldasaro of Coventry, RI as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony's Church in White River Jct., VT at the convenience of the family. A public committal in the Hartland Village Cemetery followed by a celebration of life will be held in the spring.
