WINDSOR, VT
Anna Marie (Wentworth) Hebert, 75, a longtime resident of Windsor, passed away Saturday afternoon, October 20, at her daughter's home in Windsor, surrounded by her family.
She was born July 1, 1937 in Windsor the daughter of Chester N. and Irene (Henault) Wentworth. She received her schooling in Windsor and graduated from Windsor High School in 1955. She married her high school sweetheart, Richard A. Hebert in Windsor on July 7, 1956. Anna traveled with her husband and children all around the country as an Air Force family for many years until January of 1975 when Mr. Hebert was honorably discharged from the service. They moved back to Windsor in 1975.
Mrs. Hebert was employed as a lunch room lady by the Windsor School District, and worked at the former Brunch Bar in Windsor. She most recently was employed at J. B. Fabricare Dry Cleaners in Windsor for several years until her retirement.
She was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Church in Windsor where she was also a member of the Catholic Daughters Court of St. Francis.
She was fond of dancing and ice skating. Anna was known for her lovely singing voice and greatly enjoyed singing solo "O Holy Night" at the midnight Christmas Eve Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Her greatest love was caring for and spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Richard on April 22, 2004, and three brothers, Chester Wentworth, Sidney Wentworth and Bruce Wentworth.
Survivors include one daughter, Suzanne Hebert-Blaise and her husband, Randall of Windsor, four sons, Timothy R. Hebert and his wife, Paula of Windsor, Michael A. Hebert of Windsor, Christopher P. Hebert and his wife, Ruth of Perkinsville, VT and Steven A. Hebert and his wife, Suz'Anne of Enterprise, Alabama, six grandchildren, Daniel H. Blaise of Windsor, Justin R. Blaise of White Hall, NY, Matthew R. Hebert of Maine, Ryan T. Hebert of Windsor, Allycia Marie Taylor of Southside, Alabama and Krista Anne Hebert of Fort Hood, Texas, four great grandchildren, Jayda E. Blaise, Kendall A. Blaise and Brody M. Blaise, all of White Hall, NY and Samantha M. Hebert of Maine, one brother, Donald Wentworth of Enfield, CT and one sister Sylvia Besaw of Windsor, several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Windsor on Wednesday morning, October 24, beginning at 10:00 AM. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Raphael Nyabenda, Pastor will be the Celebrant. Committal services will follow in the Ascutney Cemetery in Windsor. A reception for family and friends will follow at the church hall.
The family wishes to acknowledge and thank Bayada Hospice and Home Health for the exceptional care shown by them to Mrs. Hebert.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center, at 289 County Road, Windsor, VT 05089.
