White River Junction, VT – Anna Rose Haskins, 92, died peacefully in her sleep, Tuesday night, August 23, 2022, at Springfield Health and Rehab in Springfield, VT.

She was born June 11, 1930, in Thetford, VT, a daughter of George and Rose (Camp) Elder. Anna spent her early years in Lyme on the Elder family farm before her family moved to Lebanon. She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1948 and lived most of the rest of her life in Lebanon. Anna worked at Split Ball Bearing for 18 years and loved her job as a machine operator. She moved to White River Junction just a few years ago to be closer to her daughter.

Anna enjoyed quilting and sewing for many years with her sister and daughter, Lona, more recently she filled her hours working on puzzles. Her greatest joy came from spending time with family.

Anna is predeceased by two brothers, Kenneth, and Roger Elder; a sister, Esther Demers, and her life partner for over 40 years Ray Stender.

Anna is survived by three daughters, Lona Elder of White River Junction, Linda Dion of Lebanon, and Marie Haskins of VT; two sons, Royce Haskins of Lebanon, and Philip Haskins of White River Junction as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 5-7pm Friday, September 2, 2022, at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction. Funeral services will be held 10am Saturday at the funeral home with burial to follow in Valley Cemetery in Lebanon.  Immediately following the services at the cemetery, a celebration of life will be held at the VFW in downtown, White River Jct., VT
