A tear crossed my cheek today, as it fell, it arose up to heaven and is now a star, shining down upon us all.

Ann Elizabeth Stickney (Thibodeau) passed away at home with her daughter Ellen, and son-in-law Mark by her side.

Born on July 17, 1937, in Lebanon, NH to Arthur and Blanche Thibodeau, she was raised in Wilder, VT and attended local schools, graduating from Hartford High School. Ann was married to Charles Stickney Jr for 57 years, before his passing in 2014.  They raised their four children in Norwich, VT. Ann spent her life as homemaker.

After Charles passed in 2014; she moved to Brunswick, GA, with her daughter Ellen and son-in-law Mark. In 2019 they all relocated to Neche, ND. She loved traveling, and enjoyed cruising on the high seas to the Caribbean islands, Sunday meals out, and loved simply riding around looking at the countryside. She had a wish to see a real live wild buffalo and was able to travel to the Black Hills of South Dakota, where she saw hundreds. Quick with a joke, and razor sharp whit, Ann had an infectious laugh and gleam in her eye. She had a love for cards and board games, challenging and besting many takers. Ann liked to imbibe in a glass of red, or a shot of peanut butter whiskey from time to time.

Ann will live on in the hearts of her children; Charles Stickney III and Diane of White River Junction VT. Thomas Stickney and Sherry of Thetford Center VT. Ellen LaRoche and Mark of Neche, ND and Gregory Stickney and companion Jennifer of Bethel, VT. Brother Roy Thibodeau and Germaine of Florida. Her legacy is continued on by her 10 Grand Children and 10 Great Grand Children.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, October 9th, from 5-7pm at Knight Funeral Home in Wilder, VT.

A grave side service will be held on Tuesday, October 10th, at 10am at the Hillside Cemetery in Norwich, VT.
