IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ann (Wallace)
Hamilton
June 19, 1937 – May 12, 2024
Lakeland, FL - Ann (Wallace) Hamilton, 86, died Sunday, May 12, 2024, at Arbor Oaks Assisted Living Facility in Lakeland, FL. She was born on June 19, 1937, in Lebanon, NH to Henry Pallmerine, Sr. and Evelyn Preston.
Ann grew up in White River Junction, VT, graduating from Hartford High School in 1955. In 1956, Ann married Wendell Wallace and they welcomed and raised two daughters together. After high school, Ann worked part time as a bank teller and then in many roles at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital (DHMC).
Her favorite holiday was Halloween. She loved to dress up in her handmade costumes and put smiles on the faces of her friends, family, neighbors and coworkers. Then there were the famous yard sales where everything was tagged individually and meticulously laid out and everyone was greeted with a warm smile and some conversation. Ann enjoyed collecting things, with her most ambitious collection being the Annalee Dolls.
Ann was an incredibly kind, caring and compassionate woman who did so much for the many people she came in contact with during her lifetime. The staff at her memory care facility recognized her kindness and treated her like family.
Ann and Wendell spent many wonderful years together until his death in 1994. They spent time together fishing on the beautiful lakes of Vermont and NH as well as snowmobiling during the winter months. They enjoyed the holidays with family and outings with friends. Later on in life, Ann and Albert Hamilton, Sr (who attended high school together) married in 2002 in Sue and Gordon Smith's beautiful garden. Ann and Al became snowbirds, spending their winters in Florida enjoying the sunshine and warmth. They attended Detroit Tigers spring training games and ate out often with friends.
Ann is survived by her daughters Susan Gibbs and husband Kevin of Bedford, NH and Sandi Allard and husband Brian of Ocala, FL; Grandchildren Andrew (Kaitlyn) Gibbs, Madison Gibbs and Angela Allard; great grandchildren Phillip, William and Evelyn Gibbs; brother Henry Pallmerine Jr; several nieces and nephews; as well as Albert's children from his first marriage, Carroll Hamilton, Mark Hamilton, Albert Hamilton, Jr. and Tina Haugstad.
She is predeceased by her parents; a sister, Kay Clark; brothers, Stephen Pallmerine and Robert Pallmerine; and her husband Albert D. Hamilton, Sr.
