Anita Lavalette
Lebanon, NH- Anita Lavalette, 73, passed away peacefully Friday February 19, 2016 at Lebanon Center Genesis in Lebanon.
She was born January 17, 1943 in Enosburg, VT a daughter of Rudolph and Pauline (Therrien) Roy. She attended Hartford Schools. She went to work at Malden Mills in Lawrence, MA for several years. She later moved to Winooski where she worked at Mc Donald's in Burlington and Regal Optics. In 1983 she moved to West Lebanon and worked at Split Ball Bearing and later at Hyperthrem Both in Lebanon. She was last employed at the C&S Warehouse in White River Junction where she worked until she was injured on the job and was unable to return to work.
Anita enjoyed Bingo, yard sales, collecting things, NASCAR, animals and the Red Sox in spite of her partner's passion of the Yankees. She enjoyed trips to Old Orchard Beach where she would soak in the ocean breeze.
She was predeceased by her father Rudolph Roy in 1990.
Anita is survived by her partner of 34 years Ramona Weeks of West Lebanon; daughters, Cherie Charbono of Lebanon and Bridget Lavalette of Quechee, VT; son Donald Lavalette of Claremont, NH; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; mother Pauline Roy of Methuen, MA; brothers Ronald Roy of Andover, MA and John Roy of Gilmanton, NH; sisters, Cindy Roy of West Lebanon and Theresa Roy of Shirley, MA and Several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, February 26 from 6-8PM at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction, VT. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11am at the funeral home.
Burial will be held in the Mt Olivet Cemetery in White River Junction at a later date.
