Anita M. Fogal, 95, a resident of Windsor, passed away Monday afternoon, April 3 at the Cedar Hill Health Care Center in Windsor.
She was born January 7, 1922 in Suffern, NY the daughter of Louis Johann Wetzel and Wanda Wilhelmina (Sasse) Wetzel. She received her schooling in Ramsey, NJ and graduated from Ramsey High School. Anita was employed by New York Life in New York City. She married Douglas W. Fogal, in 1946 in Ramsey, NJ. She was a proud mother and enjoyed raising her family. She and her husband owned and operated the family hotel, "Quaker Inn" in Ocean Grove, NJ for many years. They later devoted their full time to the family outfitting business in Jim Thorpe, PA until their retirement. They then spent the winter months in Florida where she was actively involved with the Hospice Program.
Mrs. Fogal enjoyed cooking, sewing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mr. Fogal passed away on July 19, 2011.
Survivors include her three children, Paul D. Fogal and his wife, Cleo of Jim Thorpe, PA, Linda A.F. Hammond and her husband, John of Cornish, NH, and Douglas W. Fogal, Jr. and his wife, Barbara, also of Jim Thorpe, PA, eight grandchildren, Jabez Hammond of Hartland, VT, Hannah Hammond of Rome, GA, Matilda Von Roth of Windsor, VT, Brandon Fogal, Sky Fogal, Andy Fogal, Sierra Fogal and Talon Fogal all of Jim Thorpe, PA, one brother, John Wetzel of Carlisle, PA, one sister, Tina Teller of Roanoke, VA, and many nieces and nephews.
Upon Mrs. Fogal's request, services will be held for the immediate family.
