Windsor, VT - Anita Mae Jones Boutilier, 75, of Windsor, VT passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center surrounded by her family.

She was born on January 31, 1947, to Edward and Freda (LeClair) Jones in Claremont, NH. Anita attended Windsor and Stevens High School and later attended New England School of Hair Design to become a cosmetologist at the age of 38.

She married Richard "Dick" on December 23, 1967, and they had two children, Michael and Stacy.

Anita worked as a cosmetologist for many years at Hilde's Salon in Hanover, NH and just recently retired as a salon coordinator from Andrea's Hair Studio in Norwich, VT.

She loved to take photos and her favorite subjects were the Cornish-Windsor covered bridge, Mt. Ascutney, and interesting cloud formations. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, crocheting, sewing, gardening, birdwatching, and spending time poolside with her sister and mother. She cherished time spent with her family, was a proud mother and grandmother, and adored her grand-dog, Moose.

Anita is survived by her husband Dick of Windsor; son Michael and wife Sarah of Cornish, NH; daughter Stacy Boutilier of Bellows Falls, VT; two grandsons Hunter Knox and girlfriend Mallory of New Haven, VT and Malikh McDonald of Windsor, VT; mother Freda Jones of Cornish; two siblings Jennifer Ayer and Edward "Spike" Jones and wife Bonnie, all of Cornish; several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Edward "EP" Jones; parents-in-law William "Red" and Katherine "Kitty" Boutilier; brother-in-law Donnie Ayer; and nephew Paul Jones.

She will be forever missed by all those whose lives she touched. She is now watching us from the clouds.

A celebration of Anita's life will be held at 11AM on Friday, March 18, 2022, and calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 17 from 6 until 8PM at Knight Funeral Home in Windsor. Anita supported many organizations in many different ways, so in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to a charity of one's choice.
