Allen Stuart Gratton
West Palm Beach, FL – Allen Stuart Gratton, 64, died Friday at Lebanon Center Genesis Eldercare in Lebanon, NH.
He was born June 29, 1945 in Burlington, VT a son of Fred and Jessie (Lackey) Gratton. He attended school in Windsor graduating from Windsor High School Class of 1964. He began working for the Woodstock Inn after graduation where he worked until moving to West Palm Beach, Florida in 1975. He has worked at the Breakers in Palm Beach until recently when he became ill.
Allen was a devoted member of the Lakeside Presbyterian Church in West Palm Beach. He was an avid baseball fan and especially enjoyed the Chicago White Sox. He also loved cats and enjoyed riding his bicycle.
He is predeceased by his parents and leaves his sister Andrea Riviezzo and her husband George of Unity, NH, two nieces Marybeth Rolfe of Morrill, ME and Kimberly Gendron of Springfield, VT; a nephew Robert Gendron of Windsor, VT, two great nieces, two great nephews, an uncle Douglas Lackey and his wife Eleanor of Lyme, NH and well as many cousins.
A graveside service will be held in the Ascutney Cemetery in Windsor, VT in the Spring.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Sullivan County Humane Society, PO Box 111, Claremont, NH 03743.
