West Lebanon, NH - Albert G. Reinke, 95, died peacefully at home Thursday November 22, 2012.
He was born March 11, 1917 in Cincinnati, OH the son of Gustoff and Mary Reinke. He worked on the family farm and graduated from the one room school house that he attended in Cincinnati. In 1941 he moved to the Upper Valley where he worked at Dartmouth College for a time. This is where he meet the love of his life Edith Hanchett they where married June 23, 1945. He later went to work for the Vermont Department of Transportation where he worked for many years on the VT Route 14 road crew later transferring to the Hartford Rest Area as an attendant.
Albert enjoyed his daily walks to work, landscaping with stone on his property and always kept an immaculate garden. But he found his true joy in his family where he was always willing to lend a hand with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his wife Edith Reinke; ten siblings and a step-son Fred Fellows.
He is survived by a step-daughter, Hazel Beliveau of Orem, UT; a step-son Robert Fellows of West Swanzey, NH; six step-grandchildren, Linda Pratt of Orem, UT, Peter Beliveau of Enfield, NH, Tom Fellows of Hopkinton, NH, Judith Fellows of Bennington, VT ; Fred Fellows Jr of East Corinth, VT, and Kimberly MacMillan of West Lebanon, NH and several step-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Monday, November 26th at 1pm in the West Lebanon Cemetery in West Lebanon, NH. Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction, VT has been entrusted with arrangements.
