Alan M. Charland
Bradford, VT - Alan M. Charland, 49, died Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, following a brief illness.
Alan was born October 12, 1966 in Hanover, NH the son of James and Thelma (Tancreti) Charland. He grew up in Hartford where he attended school. Alan graduated from South High School in Omaha; NE. After graduation he joined the US Navy where he served until his honorable discharge in 1993. After his military service he began work as an inspector at Thermal Dynamics in Lebanon, NH.
Alan enjoyed fishing, woodworking and metal detecting as an avid coin collector.
He is predeceased by his father James Charland and Mother Thelma Banker.
Alan is survived by his wife Amy (Sartwell) Charland of Vershire, VT; a son James Charland and granddaughter Gianna Charland both of Randolph, VT; a sister Sonya O'Neil of White River Junction, VT; a brother Aaron Charland of Nebraska; his step-mother, Joan Charland Menard of Randolph; and step-sister Nicole Ballard of Barre, VT.
Graveside services will be held Monday, August 22nd at 1pm in the Valley Cemetery in Lebanon, NH. Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction assisted with arrangements.
