WINDSOR, VT Priscilla G. “Pat” Springer, 90, a longtime resident of Windsor, passed away Friday morning, April 20 at the Sullivan County Nursing Home in Unity, NH where she has resided for the past year and a half. She was born October 15, 1921 in Plainfield, NH the daughter of Robert W. and Hallie (Stickney) Gibson. She received her schooling in Windsor and graduated from Windsor High School in 1939. She married Richard P. Springer in Windsor on April 19, 1942. They had resided in Windsor most of their married lives. She traveled with her husband while he served in the US Air Force. They returned to Windsor following his honorable discharge. Pat was a loving wife and mother and enjoyed caring for her family. She was employed at the former Windsor Federal Savings and Loans for fourteen years until her retirement in September of 1983. Pat enjoyed playing golf and was a longtime member of the John P. Larkin Country Club in Windsor, where she was women’s club champion. She also enjoyed playing bridge, sewing and cooking. She and her husband were fond of traveling and had taken trips throughout the United States and Europe. They had spent the winter months in Florida for many years. She was a longtime member of the Hartland Four Corners Universalist Church. Her husband of sixty six years passed away on October 12, 2008. She was also predeceased by five brothers, Paul Gibson, Howard “Hoot” Gibson, Elmer “Buzz” Gibson, Joseph Gibson and John Gibson and two sisters, Hazel Amidon and Elizabeth “Betty” Davis. Survivors include one daughter, Lori J. Springer of Windsor, and one son, Randall L. Springer and his wife, Meredith of Charlestown, NH, grandchildren and great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Pat and Richard will be held at the family lot in the Ascutney Cemetery in Windsor on Saturday, July 7 at 10:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Macconnell Alzheimer Unit at the Sullivan County Nursing Home at 5 Nursing Home Drive, Unity, NH 03743
